I recently earned a Master’s degree in Information Science Technology from The George Washington University. I’ve been working in IT for the past 15 years with increasing amounts of responsibility. I am now in a position to combine my education and experience to lead a team of IT professionals in a strategic role.
I have been working two jobs. My primary one is at George Washington University; I support the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver remotely. I supervise up to 15 people at GWU directly and indirectly. I pride myself on problem solving, system design, and co-worker development. I am looking for an opportunity to combine my skills, knowledge, and ideas to help guide an organization’s strategic vision.
I have the variety of experience to be an effective Windows Systems Engineer. I have been designing and implementing Windows based computing infrastructures for eight years. Windows services include Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, IIS, VPN, TCP/IP Services, and DPM (Data Protection Manager). I manage all aspects of the underlying TCP/IP network. The past two and a half years I have led, motivated, and mentored a team of support professionals. My recent Masters degree helped formalize much of what I have been doing informally. Beyond technical skills, my greatest strength is being able to absorb a large amount of information and quickly develop a reasonable understanding of the core issues. I do not have a current security clearance but should have no problem getting one. I could be an effective member of your team immediately.
